NASH+ housing models

NASH+ (the Neighbourhood Affordability and Supply of Housing system of models) is a national predictive-modelling tool Curbcut is building for Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada. It lets analysts run policy and scenario analysis on how housing affordability and supply respond to changing conditions, for population centres across the country.

The system pairs Curbcut’s data infrastructure with a suite of models and a forthcoming Explorer that will make the results usable without specialized training. Building the inputs meant assembling new pan-Canadian datasets, including residential development charges and municipal zoning, harmonized for the first time at national scale.
