Canadian Housing Observatory

The Canadian Housing Observatory is a public, open-access platform that makes housing data from across Canada explorable by everyone, from federal analysts to local residents. Funded by Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada with support from McGill University, it brings national housing indicators onto an interactive map, paired with charts and natural-language insights.

Curbcut designed, built, and operates the Observatory as a bilingual deployment of its platform, launched in May 2026. Visitors can explore indicators such as average property values across provinces and regions, compare areas, read AI-generated insights, and export the underlying data. Curbcut hosts and maintains the platform.
